Who are we?

TCH is the headhunting division of The Crew Academy, founded in 2012. The division started from a growing demand from yacht captains and residential managers to find the highly trained staff.

Our head-hunters, Milica Seguela, Chris Daine and Harriet Blake, handle all search requests. Between them they have over 15 years’ experience in placing yacht crew.


Milica Seguela – Manager


Milica heads up the team and offers a wealth of experience, having spent fourteen years working in the service industry; 8 of which were in the yacht crew recruitment sector, 2 in the private households and 6 years in the cruise ship industry.

With the luxury industry knowledge, recruitment experience and a degree in Hotel Management, Milica is best placed to find the right fit for our clients and candidates alike.

Milica is trilingual English, French and Serbo-Croatian. 


Chris Daine – Headhunter

Chris began his career within the offshore financial services arena where he primarily focused within the fiduciary and statutory requirements of his clients whilst maintaining a portfolio in excess of 250 clientele.

Seeking a new challenge Chris trained and qualified as a sailing and watersports instructor which inevitably led him into the superyacht industry. During the six years within the industry Chris honed his deck skills on cats, sailing and motor yachts up to and including 110 meters, which saw him climb through the ranks to first officer.

Chris then made the decision to return ashore whilst wanting to maintain contact with crew. He therefore trained as a recruitment consultant for the industry where he built his reputation to what it is today.


Harriet Blake – Headhunter

Harriet is the newest addition to The Crew Hunter team and comes well equipped with a background in yachting and recruitment!

She began her yachting career over in Florida and has since worked in various corners of the world and has lent her hands on the interior, out on deck and even in the galley.

Having left yachting Harriet went back into Hospitality management on land before finding her passion for recruitment. She followed her instincts and joined a UK based agency specialising in Michelin quality chefs and hospitality management placements.

Missing the buzz of yachting and the great people it attracts, Harriet thought what better than to blend her passions and knowledge, hence yacht recruitment. She now has over two years of yacht recruitment experience, making lasting placements and building great relations with crew and clients alike.


Lucy Gledhill – Headhunter

Having worked her way up from junior stewardess to chief stewardess over her 7 years in the industry, Lucy has an extensive knowledge of interior roles as well as the running and recruitment process onboard.

Lucy joined her first yacht straight out of university and she has never looked back. The industry has given her the opportunity to travel the world and develop skills and expertise quickly and intensely – the way only yachting can!

She understands how crucial it is to get the right people in the right positions. Lucy has now chosen to settle in France and use her onboard experience to help crew and clients make successful and long-lasting matches.
